The place is dated and not super clean. We used the pull out sofa and the sheets were nasty on it. We had to go get more. The bathroom had black mold all on the walls. The beds were super uncomfortable and we all woke up with our backs hurting. They have a shuttle to Opryland but it’s $10/person. A lot of the hotels offer free shuttles.

The property was clean . The room was large but the bathroom was the smallest I’ve seen . You had to step around the door to shut it and the sink was out in the room. The person that designed this room missed the mark.

The picture are not of these rooms. The carpet is very old and nasty. My pillow.case had lipstick on it and was not mine. The bathroom ceilings has rust spots from leaks probably halfway repaired. Possibleold on curtain above AC unit. Wont stay here again.

Only 1cart for the entire hotel. Our fob didn’t work. My husband unloaded the cart and had to go back to the desk. I stayed with our dog. An inconvenience for us after driving from Knoxville and attending our youngest granddaughter performance at the Rabbit Theater in Franklin. Much noisier than our last 2 visits.

Hotel staff was great! Especially the staff present when we checked in around 8pm. Our room was not the best as far as bathroom size. Barely had room to turn around in the bathroom for a room that slept 6. The heating/air was the strangest thing. It decided whether it should be on heat or air so we either sweated to death or froze our butts off. Not the best design there. Some of the carpet had ruts in it which was a huge tripping hazard. And the snack selection was sub-par. Other than those things… the stay was decent for us to rest after a day at the ICE exhibit.

The worst Hyatt but a few positives
On the positive side: This hotel is the only one in the area that I could find with a mini-fridge & microwave so I appreciated that. The staff was very kind and welcoming. The hotel offers a free shuttle service to the Opryland/Gaylord every hour until 4pm, a 5 min drive. The living room area of my room was spacious & the bed was comfortable Negatives: This was probably the most run down Hyatt I have ever stayed at! There was a lot of beige/brown, popcorn ceilings, outdated decor, old gross carpets. The website pictures were much nicer than the actual room. The workout equipment in the small fitness room was dirty so I only used it once briefly. Breakfast was okay but the evening/afternoon food options were gross. The worst part was how under-staffed the hotel was. Every evening/night there was only one person taking care of everything from the front desk, the phones, the bar, and preparing food. She was great but spread way too thin and there was always a line waiting for her and the phone ringing a lot. I didn't see any security at night, it didn't feel safe. The morning staffing was pretty much the same except there was some kitchen & housekeeping staff. I would not stay there again.

Pros- parking, clean lobby area and room, staff attentive and polite. Cons- this is an old hotel that Hyatt has updated to some degree. The absolute deal breaker why I would never stay here again is the bathroom in my room was horrific. The shower and toilet are in an extremely small room with a door. Once you’re in the room there is no room to stand to shut the door unless you stand in the shower. I don’t know if every room is like this or this is the one given to guests who bookended through a third party hotel broker such as Expedia.

Nice spacious rooms with sofa and clean, comfortable bed, good Breakfast! Staff very nice. Allowed us to check in early. Bathroom very small, the door almost hits the commode so hard to get in n out Our mirror to the closet was off the track. We Reported it but no one ever came to fix it. Kitchen was not in good working order and so we didn’t get to eat our evening meal we had planned on there. We ended up at McD’s! No view from room.

Clean enough but some improvements needed
The water in the b’fast area was out both mornings. The water fountain did not work either. The tap water from the faucet in our room was WAY TOO HOT for little kids. I told the front desk but I don’t think she even wrote down. The sofa bed in our room 409 was AWFUL.
