This is a pretty little 1930s 2 story property, an old farmhand's house fully renovated. Spotlessly clean, it's clear the owner has poured time and effort into maintaining its original "vibe." The stairs, however, are difficult, given narrow treads. This makes coming downstairs difficult! We had to use splay feet, or walk down sideways. Both with bad knees, this felt a bit treacherous. Rubber treads would have helped. The bathroom was upstairs, and so we struggled a bit. I found out after we left that there's a half-bath in the basement with stairs that looked much safer. Furniture was comfortable, beds were okay. It is a quaint little cottage, quiet, large fenced backyard, fields behind, rural but with many chain restaurants and supermarkets a 5-10 min drive away. The tow-path is nearby for long walks or cycling, and is oh so peaceful! We enjoyed this little property overall, but likely would only stay 1-2 nights given the stairs (and our bad knees!). It is a quiet getaway, and Jeanne is very responsive.
