The front desk teams are terrible not only one of them we ask a question three different the front desk agent three of them are not helping at all they don’t even see you when you talk to them. They treating and answer is terrible feel likes they are not welcoming. I am not recommending this place to stay.

Nice location and friendly staff. Breakfast was simple - coffee bagels muffins - but good. Rooms / hallways were a bit dated. Easy walk to Penn Station and also to the High Line.

Happy first visit to New York
This is not an up-market hotel, but is in a good central location, with a subway station just around the corner.. Choices for (free) breakfast are limited but there are plenty of eating options nearby. The rooms were clean and well maintained, the staff were friendly and helpful.

We would not stay here again. The beds were really uncomfortable and creaked horribly. We thought we broke one of them just by sitting on it. There were no bed skirts so the box springs were exposed. We said to each other, at least it’s clean, but unfortunately the second night we were there, I found a giant clump of long black hair mixed in with lint on the bed that had been made by a housekeeper during the day. I’m blonde. I was going to let it go and then opened up the bed and found more hair so I called the front desk. They sent a guy with new sheets and I made the bed myself and we put the ‘do not disturb’ sign up so no one would come in and clean for the rest of our stay. The shower had very low water pressure with a clogged, old shower head and even with low water output, the tub would back up with the plug out so you were taking a shower standing in your own dirty run off. They didn’t give us enough towels for the number of people we had. The towels we had were crispy and super old. The place had a big “F” sign in the window stating it rated horrible for energy efficiency. We don’t have the grades in CA so that was a new thing to me. We ended up laughing about it all because what could we do? We were stuck because we booked through Expedia and the hotel told us we couldn’t move to another hotel without going through them. We had asked the penalties on our first day not only because the hotel was so shabby, but because we wanted to be closer to our daughter's college.

Great location, very friendly front desk staff. Secure storage room, which we got to use upon our early arrival and after checking out. Breakfast - only bagels and muffins, but you better not wait too long: all of them are gone when there is still 20-30 minutes of breakfast time left. The toilet in our bathroom was placed too close to the sink, and would be very uncomfortable to use by a larger person.

The mirror in the bathroom had a huge crack and was fixed with tape. No coffeemaker in room. The desk was right opposite the bathroom and made it difficult to pass thru if anyone sat at the desk. On the first night we had someone knock on our door in the middle of the night , which was. Very scary situation. Will never stay here again or recommend this place to anyone.

Good Value and OK
This is a very basic hotel. You get what you pay for, as it is clean enough and safe enough. The value is 5 star for Manhattan, especially the location. The internet and TV were not working but all the necessities were fine. Everyone at the hotel was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay again.

Great location
Very friendly staff, and great central location for traveling around Manhattan. Beds and pillows were a little hard and uncomfortable, but for the price, the other things made up for that mostly.

Nice stay at the Chelsea Savoy Hotel
We had a girls' family trip to NYC and chose to stay in the Chelsea Savoy Hotel. We got 2 rooms and both rooms were very nice, clean, and comfortable.

Great location near subway and yet close to Hudson Yards. Lots of great things to do within walking distance. Basic room and bath, but fresh muffins and bagels in the morning.
