We had a great time in NYC and our family really enjoyed staying in Chelsea. The location is great. Plenty of restaurants and shops on the 8th Ave, subway stations on the 7th and 8th Ave. so no problems reaching all places in Manhattan, Brooklyn or Bronx. Short 10 min walk to the High Line, slightly longer to the Madison Square Garden and the Empire State Building. You can walk to Soho and Cornelia St. (yeah, my daughter is TS fan). In general, the area feels safe during day and night (it's getting dark at 5 pm in December).Check in process is easy, detailed instructions send by text.Apartment is spacious, easily accommodates 4 people (can do 6, sofa bed not too comfy though, one of our kids slept on it). 2 bathrooms are a blessing. Kitchen is fully equipped, the only thing missing is wine glasses, but we are wine people and expect them everywhere (just a set of IKEA glasses would do). There are extra blankets, towels, pillows. Heating is a bit tricky, one of the heaters had a broken control knob so only 2 available (we were there when temperatures went below 0 centigrade couple of nights). We would definitely go back and can recommend to everybody.
