What at first seemed a little funky became rustic and charming after we stayed here a day. The description is accurate. It worked really well for my sister and our families (early 20's). The location is only 15 minutes away from the Yosemite Gate, but over an hour to the Valley Floor area. Fish Camp was close and had decent food and grocery options.
Property was clean. The main problem was that one of the bedrooms was missing a door. The door was under the bed. This lack of privacy made it very uncomfortable.
Fantasic stay at a historic cabin nestled in tall pine trees and near a running creek. The soothing sounds of the creek and the fresh air helped my family and I unwind. The best part of the properry is the location. So close to the south entrance of Yosemite made it an ideal spot for us.
Our family met up at Lewis Creek Cabin for some fun before the Christmas Holiday. We have kids from infant through 16 years old and everyone had a great time. There was plenty of space for all of us to hang out together in the large living room with couches, card table and pool table. And the bedrooms directly off from there was nice when anyone wanted a quiet moment. We almost never get to eat at the same time and the extra large dining table facilitated a great memory of all of us at the same table. There was some trouble accessing the studio above the garage but the owners/managers were prompt in helping us get in and get settled. We had a great experience and will likely be back next year!
The house was amazing and very comfortable. We went to celebrate my husbands birthday and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The proximity to yosemite was very close amd the neighborhood was beautiful. The best thing was the Toy vaultnwhich my boys were ecstatic about. They were obsessed. Thank you for making this trip unforgettable.
Everything was excellent. All facilities were in excellent working condition, the kitchen was so well stocked it included a popcorn popper. The hosts were excellent leading up to our trip with communication. Check-out was very easy. We'll be back!
For our adult hiking group, this was an ideal lodging spot. You can stay closer to Yosemite, but being one hour from the airport and closer to Oakhurst really helped keep a few trips shorter.
The firepit and hot tub is a great social space on the property, and the responsiveness of the property manager before and during the stay to answer questions was seamless. Would definitely stay here again with friends.
Our family of 7 adults celebrating finishing 20 years of home school had a fantastic stay at LC Hideaway. The space was perfect for usâwe used all the rooms and the apartment above the garage. That space is warm during the day and early evening, but we had a heat wave with some reps above 100. We kept windows open and in the middle of the night needed a light layer over the bedsheet to not get too cold. Morning temps were great there! We didnât use the back space as much as anticipated due to spending so much time in Yosemite. The hot tub took longer to warm up than we realized, so set the temp you want that morning to use it in the evening. The back patio space is not as large as it appears in photos, FYI, but there is plenty if room for large groups to hang out there. The drive in to Yosemite was not as convenient as maybe some homes are, but for the space and the price, it worked perfectly for us! Also, most importantly, we had great communication with management prior to and during our stay. We actually shipped out boxes to the office containing snacks and items for our stay, and they were super helpful with that.
Great place to stay near Yosemite. Well kept cabin with tons of history. Plenty of room for my group of young adult children. Enjoyed the hot tub, pool table and room to play cards.
Our whole immediate family was able to getaway for the weekend and spend time together cooking, talking, playing games and enjoying each other in Sugar Pine, in the snow. The cabin was able to accommodate all 10 of us with plenty of room to spare. Our grandchildren especially enjoyed the Toy Vault and the adults totally enjoyed the large rooms and pool table.
This place was amazing! It was perfect for our weekend at Yosemite. It was the perfect mountain cabin that accommodated our party perfectly! Ages ranged from 16 - 64 and we all loved it! It was also very private and peaceful!
The space provided was not only clean and as listed but went above and beyond with accommodations to a larger group. We could've honestly gone with nothing and still had so much given to us for our stay. Wouldn't be surprised if we returned for another stay.
Excellent, Comfy, and Spacious - close to everything
The property was quaint, unique, and very nice. My daughter particularly loved the little loft space above the garage and my son loved the toy vault. The owners were very hospitable and communicative.
OUTSTANDING HISTORICAL CABIN
Very comfortable
Mountain atmosphere
Great location
Enjoyed the walking trail
The hosts are very kind
Most of all, thanks for the memories
The house had everything we needed for our short stay. The kids did western plays for us with toys from the vault. We had an accident our first night and the host were more than gracious to help us. I cannot say enough good things about this property. We have been traveling across the states for the last 4 weeks and the is is the kids favorite house! It really feels
Like a horn.
We really enjoyed our stay at this very comfortable and spacious cabin. The location is quiet, surrounded by trees and across from a lovely pond. All of the rooms were spacious and quite comfortable. It was a fairly short drive to the Yosemite south entrance from here as well. We would definitely stay here again!
The property was great. plenty of room to spread out.
The hot was great it only fits about 4 adults prefect for us
our teens play pool every waking hour
Lots of room for the whole family to watch a movie at night
they have books/libary galore
in all it felt like a cabin in the woods very private
This place was so fantastic! We will stay again. They give you wonderful tips for places to go and places to eat. Only 20 to 30 minutes to Mariposa Grove, 15 minutes to Sugar Pine Railroad. Approximately 1 hrs to Yosemite Tunnel view. Really not a bad trip and we had toddlers with us. The kitchen even has an instant pot. Not to far from Vons. I recommend El Cid food was fantastic. Bass Lake is also not far of a drive.
We stayed here during the Washburn fire in July 2022.
The house is absolutely charming!! The history of the property and original elements in the house added to the experience. The vault is so cool! The area is great for Yosemite, although we could not use that entrance due to the fire. The neighborhood is quiet and more remote but close enough to Oakhurst to make running into town easy.
The kitchen is fully stocked with everything needed to cook meals and all the cabinets and drawers are labeled so you can easily find what you need. If youâre worried abt the lack of A/C like we wereâŠ. Donât be! We followed the guidelines in the book and the house was actually quite cool at night. We did bring small fans for each bedroom and I would recommend that if the lack of a/c is foreign to you. We would love to visit again some day!
