Only thing great was the new fridge
Main floor bathroom you can’t get a bath only the shower head works you can’t turn the knob for a bath if you try and use the jets in the tub some sort of sand material comes out the bunk beds on the bottom floor are shaking and wouldn’t recommend putting any child on the top bunk they tell you to bring your own toilet paper and paper towels wasn’t aware we had to bring our own cleaning products and garbage bags too the area rugs are dirty and need replaced the house is very out dated the drier has some sort of dirt material built up around the edge of it if you want an Air B and B where you are responsible for everything needed to clean it and maintain it where you are there this is the one for you the pictures are very deceiving they make it seem bigger and we didn’t bring an animal with us but ended up with white fur on our clothes I’m going to go out on a limb and say it was a cat because that’s the only animal I’m allergic too and my eyes were super swollen when I woke up I was very disappointed I hope they can make the necessary adjustments for the next guests

Disappointed in cleanliness & lack of essentials
The bad: The property listing says, entire house, however, is a condo. The area gets significant snow, but it had not snowed in a few days before our arrival, yet there was not even a path or attempt to clear the walkway, steps or deck. Condo is significantly smaller than photos appear. The basement bedroom was hard to heat. Steps that go upstairs & downstairs are spiral & very narrow. The floors were dirty/dusty & did not appear to have been swept in a long time. Previous guests' garbage/food wrappers in the bedside table. Pots/pans/dishes in the cabinets had food on them & had to be washed prior to use. I have stayed in many, many VRBO's and other vacation rentals and have always had the basics/starter package in the kitchen/bathroom, this rental had no dishwasher pods, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, etc. (had to immediately go to store to purchase). Additionally, take note that although Maryland is a recreationally legal state, and rules do not say no vaping- DO NOT VAPE. I was charged 250 b/c host claimed strong smoke smells, which a member of our group has prescription and vapes, which does not cause strong smell that requires 250 in cleaning. The Good: Host was friendly, quick to respond, condo is in a great location, master bed was comfortable, easy check-in, lots of towels & throw blankets. Host found jewelry that was left & promptly shipped it back & provided a tracking number.

The place was OK. Photos were misleading. It was very small, across the street from the lake with no “beach” or locations to sit and enjoy the lake. Some dirty items found from previous renters. Communication was poor with host during our stay. Grill ran out of gas, small indoor cooking space for a group of people. The photos made it seem like the lake was the backyard and you have to cross the Main Street to get there.

The location if this place was great, nothing that we wanted to do was more than 10-15 minutes away and we could walk to the plaza with Brenda's pizza. The place itself was clean and nice!

Comfortable stay in a great location for first stay at deep creek lake
This was our first time at deep creek lake. This location was great for us Close to many places to shop, eat, rent boats of all types and scenic drives. Great for bike rides and runs also - which I do everywhere I go. The owner was very caring, responsive and accommodations. Thank you for a great experience at deep creek lake.

Place nice but dirty
Dog hair everywhere! Floors dirty! Dog hair on the couch throws/blankets! Top of fridge was caked with dust and dirt! No tv box or channel access in the top upstairs bedroom or the basement one. Not experience I expected!

The place is pretty nice. Just perfect for us. Other than some very minor issues such as dated appliances, the place was very well maintained. We really enjoyed our stay. The host is always there to answer our questions. Definitely a great place to stay.

False advertising on listing
When I originally booked this location the property details states there was a hot tub and a Jacuzzi spa tub. When is u arrived I only found a Jacuzzi tub and the hot tub was the main reason I reserved this location. I am not happy with being lied to about the location.

This property is much smaller than the listing photos make it seem. This location would be great for a younger crowd in their 20s or maybe for a couple looking for a getaway, but for a family it is not ideal. The location is great, but there are a lot of issues with this listing that they fail to mention. The spiral staircase leading upstairs is easy to get up and down but the spiral staircase leading downstairs is extremely small. My husband who is 6'3" had a tough time getting down there. The furniture is also different than in the listing photos. There is a seat at the kitchen table that was not screwed on at all and one of our kids almost fell off of it. The microwave started smoking the one time we used it and there ended up being a leak in the basement.. it is also not noted to bring toilet paper/paper towels anywhere, but I would suggest bringing it as it was not provided. Having said all of that the property owner was very responsive which we appreciated, but I would not recommend this listing to other families.

Great location for those without little ones
Activities in either direction, Great Lake view. Good location for a weekend wine and dine getaway. Although the outside and inside spiral stairs were a haul bringing in our supplies. Cozy. Spacious bathrooms. Fully equipped kitchen. Plenty of linens. HOA needs to maintain the gravel stair area a little better.

Very misleading details of the property
The property listing was too glorified. The furniture was rather dated and very unusable. The bathrooms need work. The sofas and other furniture is down to its frames. The worst is the basement bathroom. It was accessible through a stairwell which was most suited for miniature humans the size of Lilliputians.

Great place , perfect location
Had a great time with my nephew on our trip. Great location. Everything was close. The hosts were so helpful with all my questions about the area. Good restaurants and plenty of activities for all ages just within a mile. Plenty of golf courses to choose from!
