Unfortunately it was disappointing! The apartment was extremely dirty when we arrived.
We arrived on Saturday, 19th of January 2019 late night. On Sunday, when we woke up we had noticed that the apartment was not cleaned properly. The windows were dirty, there was lots of dust under all the beds. The inner upper window of one of the bedrooms had a spider web from the dust it was disgusting. The electric tea kettle was dirty from the built up of the water debris. The pots and pans were greasy. The utensils were not clean. The couch had lint all over it and there was a spread thrown on it. The bathroom toilet bottom part had some hair and dirt. We truly hoped the toilet seat was disinfected with special cleansers since it did not have the sanitized cover note on it. Our 17 year old son was eager to go skiing so I just did cleaning on the important areas which was the bathroom. I wanted to deal with the remaining dirty parts for later since I did not want to spend my first day of vacation cleaning an apartment that should have been proivided clean and spotless. When we came back that day we cleaned the rest of the apartment. We called Interhome on Monday but we were running late and the town bus schedule was not giving us enough time to make it on time since their office was closing at six. We called them back saying we will visit them the following day. We informed Interhome but sadly their response was not helpful. They even went ahead and charged us for cleaning fees for a dirty apartment that I personally had to clean myself! I sent an email to Interhome and their response in short was that I should have contacted Interhome within 24 hours to get cleaning for the apartment. We are here on vacation expecting a clean apartment. I should not have to wait at home for cleaning people!. I had all my personal belongings and valuables out in the open where was I supposed to put them away. It’s not a hotel and there is naturally no safe. Why should I trust my valuables to strangers to come and clean after I have settled into the apartment. Interhome is supposed to be a reputable company and surely providing a clean and sanitized bathroom to customer should be their top priority! We were very dissatisfied with Interhome. Villars Interhome office offered to deduct one persons cleaning fee. We were three people we did not accept it. We booked the flat through HomeAway for Swiss Francs. There was also no mention of fees and pet charge. After our deposit Interhome sent an invoice for the remaining balance in Euros and charged us for our pet!
