NEEDS SIGNIFICANT WORK & REPAIR!!
The house had maintenance issues, poor levels of cleanliness and non working items (showers, games room and fridge water ice maker). We didn’t notice it all immediately, but we did let the manager know the first day that there were broken items/issues, and let her know as we found new issues. She said they had some “rough guests” before us and that she was aware of the many issues:
Master bathrooms w/showers that don’t work, non functional games room; pool table with holes in side pockets, no cue ball, broken basketball game and table tennis table with broken net/no balls. Stairway w bannister, non functioning ice maker/water, greasy oven generated clouds of smoke first use, scant silverware, knives missing in block, blown lightbulbs, stained rugs/carpets, filthy walls, mold growing in vents, cigar stub/used bandaid in pool area, loungers w mold on seats, rusted legs, worn fabric thread bare, shower only hot water, hair on toilet/ in shower, pool table pockets all torn, TV remotes w no backs, soiled comforter w/ brown & yellow stains-see a March review from another renter-this issue not fixed! YUCK! Beds very hard, screen door off track, torn screens above pool area, & numerous other issues. Manager finally arranged for maintenance to visit which we accommodated several times. They advised us to document everything so we don’t get charged. He was able to fix the ice/water. Could not fix showers. Next visit tried again but couldn’t fix it w/our major repair in wall. Maintenance guys said house has lots of issues & been abused but they can’t get in to repair because manager wants to keep renting. When the Manager received our issues list she reacted poorly accusing of being complainers, & only wanting money back-it was a very confusing conversation. She then hung up on us. Given that she was sick w Covid we assumed the reaction was from feeling poorly. We suggested she send someone around to see first hand all the issues as she had not been in the house for over a month. She called back/offered refund for 1 night. She suggested we should pack up and move. No specific alternative accommodation was offered. We never received any form of refund. We had even delayed a beach trip by over an hour waiting for maintenance and left our son behind who missed the beach to accommodate. This house has been abused! There is no excuse for such poor maintenance/non operational showers/games room/ stained comforters STILL from review in MARCH!
