This place was perfect and immaculate! The personal touch of the welcome board with our name on it was wonderful.
The views can't be beat. The layout of the house was ideal for our group (two couples, one single). The entire property was artfully and tastefully decorated with a lot of local history-related items. I'd love to hear the stories of some of the pieces. The kitchen is well-stocked with tools/cookware, though surprisingly there was no plastic drink-ware for the fire pit area. It lacked a bit in spices (only had salt/pepper). We contributed an all-purpose seasoning - we cooked each night.
We enjoyed sitting out by the fire pit, playing cornhole, and could have easily spent more time here if we were able. It's a beautiful property! (We were asked to water the flowers while there, which we didn't mind at all! Note that they did offer to send someone out to do it, but I appreciate that they care about the details which make it so lovely, and I was happy to contribute)
My only criticism would be the lake access - it's a very treacherous and rocky slope to the lake (though short). Not ideal for kids or anyone who may be drinking. It would have been really nice to have a short little path to the water that felt more safe - once you got there, walking out was easy.
We rented a pontoon boat one day, which was a lot of fun - we were able to drive by the house and see it from the lake which was cool.
Overall, if I'm ever in this area, I would 100% book this place again.
