We arrived just past 1am after driving all day. Upon arrival the front desk had a sign posted stating that they are closed from 1am-6am and for any assistance to call the Holiday Inn Express located 5 minutes down the road. Once calling we were told that we would need to go to the Holiday Inn to check in and the come back for our stay. This was annoying and I wish we would have known this BEFORE our arrival but it was not stated anywhere upon or after booking the stay. The real kicker was when we arrived at the other hotel for check in. The employee who assisted us was short with us and after providing my name which the stay was under, she rudely replied “where”, I told her it was me, and she repeated my name back to me like I was trying to trick her. After more of this back and forth she took my ID and allowed us to check in.
After driving back to the hotel for our stay we found that one of the two keys that were provided to us did not work. As it was now 2am and there was no one at the front desk we did not bother to get our other key activated. They also provide two sets of ear plugs as “sometimes the hotel is noisy”. We did not have any issues with noise, but if we had I would disappointed with their solution.
I would have loved to talk to someone about our experience upon checkout however at 11am (their stated check out time) the front desk was once again unattended. The facility itself was fine but if you need assistance with ANYTHING it is hard to find.
