We stayed 7 nights with older parents and kiddo at this home located in a super quiet location close to the ocean front. Chickens are running in the neighborhood and neighbors are nice too. This home is well equipped, and the host bought a brand new Instant pot and an air fryer for us when I communicated with her before we arrived. I really appreciate that. The host also kindly comforted me when I told her the kid broke her glass cover of the oil lamp over text msg.
The main complain is the bugs. Ants were found in the family room and bathroom close to the entrance. Unknown bugs that look like roaches but not roaches were found in the kitchen cabinets, they came out at night. Mosquitos came in from broken screen and bite hard. ( host provided mosquitos coils that helps, we didn't find it till later, I would appreciate that if the host could show up in the check in day and give us a little orientation . I sent her a text msg when I checked in and asked a question on Nov 28, and she replied on Dec. 1. ) So overall, we could not truly relax in this home due to the bugs. We understand it is an older home and it is raining season but it does bother. BTW, the sound of rain were loud, tested with apps, it is 60- 70 dB indoor when it rains outside.
Tips: the fruits stand along 130 sells the best papaya I have ever taste, the huli huli chicken next to it was wonderful. You can spend a few hours to watch waves at Papio park or Makuu point.
