The home and property is really nice. Was perfect for our Coachella group. Backyard is a gem - great pool, hot tub (though you have to pay an extra heating fee), pagoda, dining space. Living room and kitchen are well appointed except the lack of kitchen knives.
Which leads to property management - far from flawless but satisfactory overall, which is basically as much as you can ask for with Vacasa. Got off to a rough start - they had changed the front door lock at some point before our stay but failed to update the check-in instructions. Instructions were for a SmartLock but the house only had a standard manual lock + key. Vacasa was not super quick to resolve this but we were able to get in through an unlocked door in the backyard... and eventually received instructions for getting the keys out of a hidden lockbox. Between new locks and the unlocked backdoor, I was a little concerned about security of the house but it ended up fine. Vacasa sends a long rental agreement with a bunch of rules that are not really mentioned in the VRBO listing so that's annoying. And they also messed something up with offering late checkout when there was no one booked to check-in the day of our check-out. On my own diligent efforts to negotiate with them, they were able to offer a mid afternoon check-out for $300 which was worth it in our case. Ultimately, I've come to expect subpar management from Vacasa so I kind of knew what to expect.
Again, the property itself is awesome.
