We traveled as 3 families with kids and had a good time at Riu Plaza. It is in a pretty central location of Panama City and there were many good restaurant and shopping options within 15 min walk. We felt safe walking at night. Uber is easily available and comes super fast. The breakfast buffet has excellent variety. The 24-hour coffee shop in the lobby has good smoothies, coffee and bakery items. We didn’t try the hotel restaurant for lunch or dinner so can’t comment on the food quality there. The hotel rooms are clean but some bathrooms can use remodel. The toilet was very hard to flush. The pillows were small and could be better. Overall we had a fabulous experience and would definitely come back!
