I really would like to give this property 5 stars, because it is truly an amazing house, but I just can't. This is meant as a constructive critique because I believe this home is a few easy fixes from being amazing.
First, the good. And it's very good: it's so quiet - there's a highway but it's a good distance away and the house is pretty new and well insulated. The radiant heated floors made the whole place super cosy and no socks or slippers required. The kitchen is well stocked, and the view out is fantastic. And the view - from every room, amazing. The decor is funky and fun and we all enjoyed the amazing minerals and crystals. Of course, it's in a perfect location for exploring.
The not-so-good: the light in the primary bathroom needs to be fixed. Suddenly being in the dark is only funny once, then it becomes annoying. The amazing jetted tub mentioned in the write up and featured prominently in the photos - apparently doesn't fill far enough to appreciate. We never tried because we honestly didn't want a luke warm tub. Really looking forward to that aspect of the house. But mostly, the tempurpedic bed was really bad. It collapsed at the foot end the first night - we contacted the owner, who was super responsive and offered to fix it the next day while we were gone. So night one, we slept on a sloped bed. Night two, the bed had been fixed with cabinet hinges. Night four, it collapsed in another location. Looking at it, it was obvious that the bed frame had been cobbled together with various screws, glue and hinges several times. Sorry, that's not okay. The frame needs to be replaced and a quality foundation provided. This house is so close to a luxury experience, only to be let down by a super uncomfortable bed and some random lights that have never been fixed.
