We enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and wide open space (no neighbors breathing down your neck). You can tell Jill takes pride in ownership. We loved spending mornings and evening on the large, open porch which had a propane fire pit/place. We went for walks through the 'neighborhood' in the mornings and evenings. Lots of dogs, some unleashed, which has nothing to do with Jill, but just a consideration for anyone afraid of dogs. Hiking was close by, which is why we stayed near Payson. Jill emailed me after I booked the property to ensure that I was aware that this was not in the city of Payson. That was nice. She stated it was about 10 miles from Payson. We did not know it was winding roads with switch backs and that 10 miles takes about 15-20 minutes to drive. It IS beautiful country, not complaining, but planning was a must so that we didn't have to take that drive multiple times. I did not know that the listing was a mobile home either. I just think that might be something to add to the listing instead of "cottage". Overall, it was quiet as advertised, and you could certainly destress. Jill was quick to respond to any questions. Check-in and check-out were easy. If your vibe is to escape and and chill at the property for your vacation, this is a great spot.
