Vacation
We enjoyed staying at the property. It was clean. The only complaint was there was not enough towels and wash cloths. We had to wash twice. I really didn’t want to wash clothes on my short weekend trip.

Updated Kitchen and Bathrooms but not Enough Towels and so many Ants
I had to message the host to get the door code. It was not automatically sent to me at check-in time. The house has been updated - both bathrooms and kitchen. For some reason, they leave a single bath towel in each of the bedrooms. I had specified that we had 8 people in our party but we were only given 4 bath towels and one step out towel. I messaged the host and was told more towels would be delivered. We ended up with one step out towel and 6 bath towels. There were no hand towels for the bathrooms or the kitchen. Luckily we had packed beach towels and we used those and washed them as needed. There were so many ants in the master bathroom. We had to drown them each time we went in there and they just kept coming back. I reported this via a message and received no response concerning that. There were also some ants in the kitchen and in the other bathroom. Some beds had just a fitted sheet and a blanket, no top sheet. I find that very strange. There were extra pillows in one of the bedrooms but there were no extra pillow cases. Our first morning there I had to go through all of the kitchen cabinets and could only find one bowl and one large serving spoon. After we finished breakfast I found all the dishes were still in the dishwasher, so I had to unload that before we could put the used dishes in the dishwasher. Lastly, the driveway is a shared driveway and you can only fit two vehicles. It also is uneven and very cracked. So, be careful driving out.

Room to grow
Our stay was okay overall, but there are definitely areas in which to grow. The place seemed newly renovated which was nice, but there were things around the house that needed tending to (leftover pieces of trash from previous renters in yard, a callapsed brick wall in driveway, weeds and landscaping). Also, the furniture was not sturdy at all, there was a broken light fixture in the kitchen, and hospitality lacked (not enough towels and rags for multiple people over multiple days, no kitchen towels and rags, bedding didn’t seem freshly cleaned). Additionally, we requested a refund for a pet deposit since we decided not to bring our dog, but the host has not taken care of this and has not responded to my messages about it.

Over promised and failed to deliver.
Fridge was broken. Host promised to have a new one delivered - never happened. A/C was broken - host did get this “fixed” barely. We had to buy towels because the host keeps them in the bedroom drawers and didn’t tell us? Host promised a partial refund which never happened. My advice would be to pick a different location. The host is filled with super cheap furniture, broken tables / lights. Hardly any “good” cookware. Definitely will not be staying with this host again.

Our stay in Pensacola
We had a hard time reaching the owner for checking in. While they did accommodate a two hour early check in. The owner provided the check in instructions once i called and messaged her about thirty minutes after we were supposed to be allowed in when we had not received them. She told us that the lock on the front door was malfunctioning and to not lock it from the inside or we would be permanently locked out. Upon arrival one of the couches were broken as well as one of the light fixtures in the kitchen which caused glass to be on the floor. There was some type of liquid all over the wall and one of the curtains in the living room. One of the bedrooms was missing a curtain right above the bed and you could see right into the room from the house across the street. I sent her pictures of all the damage and she didn't respond until the next day and just told us thank you for letting me know. The kitchen was lacking there were no cleaning supplies and the one broom was broken. There was no hand soap or dish washing soap and one dirty sponge. There were no cookie sheets and no strainer. The house was also infested with ants that got in our food and clothes which we were not made aware of. The stairs railing outside was only connected with one bolt and could have easily fallen off if someone put weight on it walking up the stairs. The beds were not comfortable they were very thin and the bed in the master bedroom was broken as well. The blankets were extremely thin.

Very spacious stay. There was a few things broken upon arrival and I told the host. Nothing crazy or anything that made our stay uncomfortable. They said there was a party the night before, so that’s not their fault. The fridge wouldn’t cool, which wasn’t ideal. But the bathrooms could have been cleaned better. They smelled like urine, and just didn’t look so clean.
