Overall, it was a good location, walking distance to Old Mill Village (which is far better than the highly commercialized main strip). The best thing to do is go to the Patriot Park transit depot and get a trolley pass for the day. At $3.00 per person and free parking in their lot, you can go all over Pigeon Forge, get to Dollywood (which costs $25 to park) and back, and go to Gatlinburg and back. The weekend we went they were having some sort of car show at the fairgrounds, which caused a lot of parking issues, noise and chaos that disrupted our sleep. Do your research on local activities before booking. The actual property was very clean, had an easy check in process, and a beautiful view of the river and sunrise. The beds were comfortable and the water was hot. All the basic ammenities you need. One bad thing was the a/c in the back bedroom. It just had a small vent that fed off the main unit in the living room and it did not provide enough cool air in that bedroom to be comfortable. The unit can use a fresh coat of paint and some updates, but it was a nice place overall.
