Clean and well-appointed apartment by the beach
The apartment is in a 1930s building right next to the beach, with a private gate onto the beachfront. Directly opposite there is an excellent seafood restaurant (Osteria del Mare). Our host Gianfranco met us at the gate and showed us to our parking space, gave us our keys and gave us a tour of the apartment and showed us how everything worked (and made sure we could access the unlimited and fast wifi). There is a washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher, and a good selection of kitchen appliances and cooking gear along with plenty of plates and cutlery. The whole place was very clean and well set up with lots of space. The large windows make it nice and bright. The shower is well-pressured with lots of hot water (maintenance works while we were there meant that hot water was unavailable at certain times of day, but that doesn’t seem to be the standard). There is heating/aircon but we didn’t need it in April. We did need the extra blankets that had been provided though. The bed was very very soft, which was not to our taste though might be preferred by some. The walls are quite thin and sometimes we could hear neighbours moving around, but that was rare. The beach is very well maintained with lovely soft sand. Apparently in summer you have to pay to access the private part of the beach but as it was off-season it was free. The swimming pool was also not available (and neither are any others in April apparently), but the beach kept our daughter well entertained.
