My friends and I stayed for a few nights, and we absolutely loved it. The neighborhood was really chill, and it was easy to walk to several great restaurants. Parking was not a problem; we were able to get a spot near the house every time we went out. There was street construction being done, but the host was very transparent about it, and they added white noise machines to each bedroom to help.The house was very cool, and lived up to our expectations. The two bedrooms on the 3rd floor had great views, but the stairs up to them could be difficult for some people. It's a classic historic-home staircase that's more narrow and steep than would be allowed in a new home, so that's something to be aware of. It didn't pose an issue for our stay. The outside area with the fire pit was also welcoming, but unfortunately it was a little too chilly to enjoy it for long. I would definitely consider staying here again if I find myself back in Pittsburgh.

Girl’s 50th birthday trip

Inside of property is clean and extremely nice decor. Only real issue is the steep narrow staircases to both 2nd and 3rd floor.Outside is deceiving as it does not have curb appeal, but great location for Carson St bars. Parking was difficult due to lots of construction in the area. Overall, we had blast and would rent again!

OUTSTANDING

Absolutely outstanding in every way. Description and photos were done so well that we got exactly what we expected, it was almost too good to be true. Brandon was an excellent host, the house was perfect for a family get together, and it allowed us to get an in person feel of staying in Pittsburgh rather than staying in a hotel. It's close to everything you might want to do in the city, and also has a ton of bars and restaurants that are walkable as well. I can't emphasize enough how much we enjoyed our stay. The house was unique in every way, super clean, and we received so many specific details prior to our stay that the entire process was so smooth. We will definitely be back!

Our stay in the Southside flats was good. There are however a few takeaways that need to be noted. your cleaning crew receives a C-. Many things were dusty, ant traps on the kitchen counter are a no! Floors needed to be cleaned. (See pictures). The sink in the bathroom at the very top of the stairs is nearly impossible to access when brushing your teeth. The showers are difficult to adjust, you are either cold or burning hot. The kitchen is stocked minimally, no pans/dishes that can go in the oven, the place is advertised as sleeping 7 bit you only provide 3 dining chairs? Burned out light bulbs, we replaced the batteries in the push lights on the steep stairs, this should be checked every time! Sweep the front entrance every time, not a welcoming first impression. They do mention stairs are steep, perhaps stick on treads are an idea.

A Pittsburgh Gem

The location is convenient. The house has many updates and is clean. The outdoor area in back is amazing. We were able to park very close to the house most of the time. The steps to the second and third floor could be difficult for someone with limited mobility, but wasn't an issue for us. Great communication. Would definitely recommend.

Bachelor Party

The property was great for a bachelor party group of 6. Location is great as it’s only a 2 minute walk from Carson street which has many bars/restaurant's along it. Also the property itself was very nice and looked great. I would recommend any bachelor/bachelorette parties to stay at the property.

My group was all local to Pittsburgh and just needed somewhere in the city to stay after some dinners/brunch for my sister’s bachelorette. We loved the decor and the location so much! Southside Oasis

Came to the Iron/Steel city for a show and this place was a great option. Lots of space for us to rest and relax, large, well-stocked kitchen with a grocery store less than a block away! Loved the garage door to the back patio, plenty of bathrooms, showers and space to spread out. Parking was easy. Close to the South Side bike path/park, and just a few minutes from Carson street with pubs/food and 10-15 from the riverfront and event space! Host was communicative and attentive; although we didn’t need anything during our stay, we know they would have been quick to respond. If something ever brought us back to Pitt, we would return. 💯💯💯

Amazing place to stay in Pittsburgh!

We visited Pittsburgh for our spring break and after looking at both hotels and other VRBO listings decided that this place would work for us. It did - above and beyond! Our teenaged boys were thrilled THIRLLED that they could not only have their own beds but bedrooms. We loved that we could make a few meals on our own (did I mention that we were feeding 2 teenaged boys??), enjoy some Iron City beer around the fire pit during the beautiful nights and the price of it all. It was so close and convenient to everything that we wanted to do. We walked to Carson St several times to and had some great meals there. It was quiet, comfortable and had everything promised in the listing plus more! Thanks so much for an excellent stay.

Really great place and location!

We were a group of 4 visiting for a fun weekend. The neighborhood had everything we needed within walking distance. Bonfire, Carmella's and Emiliano's were all really good meals And since the weather was nice (for December) we ended up walking across the river into downtown and Point State park too. Everything about the home was very clean and has been nicely updated with great decor. Beds were super comfortable, sheets were super soft, and there were plenty of towels for our group. Definitely recommend this beautiful home and neighborhood!
