I, my partner, and my two adult children stayed here for two nights to see all the local Mothman attractions. The house is beautiful, and was very clean. The decor was a perfect mix of vintage charm and cryptid flare. There were a couple things I would have liked to know going in, but they weren't a big enough deal to take away any stars.
1) The master bedroom is attached to the kitchen, and there is no real privacy for that room. We made it work, so it was fine, but that wasn't clear (to me) while looking at the photos.
2) There are two units in this house- upstairs & downstairs. Unit A is the downstairs main floor unit. I didnt so much care that there were people upstairs, but the age of the house made their every step seem SO LOUD. The creakiness of the floors and the lack of sound barriers was a little annoying, but again, not enough to ruin a good time.
Aside from the house, the town was unexpectedly creepy, and not due to the Mothman lore. EVERYTHING shuts down at sun down, including private homes in the neighborhood. There were no cars on main street, no lights on in the houses, and no movement after about 7pm every night. The town is eerily quiet, and no one even seems to have a light from the tv on. We tried sitting on the porch each night, but It was a little unnerving to be the only ones in plain sight.
But again, the house was amazing. Kent was a great host, and was very responsive to any questions we had.
