Gorgeous location for us exhausted honeymooners. Had all the amenities of home. We loved being able to store food, cook, kayak the lake with the provided yaks, life jackets, and paddles, take warm showers, sleep comfortably. So many critters to see! Birds, fish. There were some large, slow ants roaming around the cabin, typical of older structures by water. Didn't bother us, but just a warning if that's not your thing. Proximity to both Port Angeles and the Olympic Natl Park was excellent, but we also loved staying in on a couple of days just to get a fire going and enjoy that view. Even the neighbors were friendly! Would not hesitate to stay here again. Next time we will bring a mesh-ceiling tent to set up in the yard so we can really enjoy that starry sky.
The single aspect we didn't love was the ladder to the loft. The loft itself is nice, but that ladder is so uncomfortable to climb that we ended up staying in the bedroom below starting with the second day. Not a big deal, but worth mentioning for any folks that expected to sleep up there.
