Few single-family homes are available in Barrier Dunes on Cape San Blas, a gated gulf front townhome community on the northernmost end of the peninsula, making Totally Beachin’ a rare find. A classic beach cottage, this 2BR/2BA rental is arranged on one level and housed between a covered front porch and a back porch with a portion open and another screened-in. The screened back porch is a perfect lounging and grilling area protected from Florida pests. The front porch directly views the playground across the quiet neighborhood street, so relax while the kids burn off energy.

Barrier Dunes is adjacent to St. Joseph Peninsula State Park, a wildlife and marine life sanctuary with gulf beach access and a boat launch into St. Joseph Bay. The coastal community offers quiet surroundings with two community pools, one of them being gulf front, tennis courts, a playground, and fishing ponds. There is something for everyone to enjoy on Cape San Blas and Barrier Dunes.

Cute Place
We have stayed at many different places in Barrier Dunes and we were very excited to be in a one story house! It was super cute inside but wasn’t in the best shape. The place was cleanish and there wasn’t any storage for pantry items, which made the kitchen very cluttered. Most places we stay in have a few spices in the cabinet but this house didn’t have anything, including salt and pepper. The furniture was decently comfortable and they provided lots of pillows and blankets in the closet. The washer and dryer were not great which was a challenge because we packed expecting to be able to do a load or two of clothes. Overall, we were comfortable in the house but have stayed in other places in barrier dunes with better amenities.

Sweet family vacation home
We enjoyed Totally Beachin’ in Barrier Dunes for our son’s first real beach vacation. It was perfect for our little family as it was pretty baby friendly and we could spread out between the two rooms. The walk to the beach wasn’t too long at all, and it was in perfect proximity to the playground.

Cute little house
The house was cute and comfortable. We had a problem with one of the drain but I emailed the property management company and they came with in hours to fix it. Location was perfect,short walk to the beach. My kids 7&9 loved it as well.
