It was blizzarding and Inn at St. John saved us

Inn at St. John was the respite we needed from the horrible blizzard that harassed us that day. Inn at St. John was like a hot cup of tea on a blizzarding day. Would recommend to anyone in a blizzard.

Old and dated but clean and acceptable for the rate. Only issue I had was the old radiator in the room was not controllable. Went to sleep with window cracked and the radiator shut off in the middle of the night.

Wonderful old Inn in Portland

We really love this hotel. Always friendly staff, friendly to dogs and always clean. Absolutely love the breakfast, coffee and Tea access as well as danish. Will keep coming back to this awesome Inn in Portland.

“Jetted tub” is a little misleading in the description of the rooms. They do have jets but are just your small to average tub. Rooms were overall a little dingy and bleak for Maine winter. Price and single photo matches the offerings - don’t expect anything more. Location okay if you want to be close to the hospital or seadogs stadium.

This is a lovely in-town hotel, very clean and very helpful and friendly staff. We especially appreciated the nice touch of cookies in the evening and breakfast which started at 6:00 am because we had a very early doctor appointment to get to.

Rooms nice and clean, loved the old Inn feel and look. Our rm 107 had a large entry way with table sitting area, nice bathroom with a jetted tub. Liked that our room was on the first floor. Good coffee station and light continental breakfast items included. Only draw back was limited parking out back of the Inn, if you miss that have to park across the way a little at the union station plaza.

This place is very good for the price. Nothing fancy, but parking is included instead of paying $20 per day like other locations. It's really close to the hospital which is why I have stayed here 3 different times.

The staff at The Inn at St. John is friendly, warm, and made my stay very special! As a visitor from Massachusetts they brought the Maine charm!! There was one incident where me and a couple other residents were stuck outside at 1am ringing the doorbell for about 15 minutes because the staff wasn’t at the desk, but I think it was just a slip/she was in the restroom.
