Property double charged me when I arrived, stating it was for incidentals. Luckily I had the money but some people do not. They ran out of clean towels and took almost 5 hours to give towels to our room, in which they had to get from and empty room to give. No complimentary breakfast, but should be due the price they charge.
Stayed in the older section, was dated, restaurant and bar were close for the season, did not state that when making the reservation. We were able to walk to town and back from the location.
The Ptown has consistently been a great experience. My husband and I average 2-3 stays a year. Never disappointed. Love the water views, private beach, food/cocktail service at the pool, easy walk to town, restaurants, free parking, etc. I only wish they stayed open later in the autumn....used to be open until New Years.
Hotel put a hold on my card for double the cost of my total stay as well as the cost of my full stay (total stay 3 times). Hotel ensured that it would not hit my card, but it took away from my available balance and I couldn’t use my card anywhere else for the duration of my stay. It was very inconvenient and made my trip harder.
Good place to stay for experience of town & nature
Nice and relatively inexpensive (for late August) hotel room. Busy and enjoyable swimming pool. Not sure our room was cleaned even once during our entire four-night stay. Walking distance to downtown and easy access to nature, dunes and beaches is a definite plus.

Liked: Staff & service
The property is gorgeous. Staff is very friendly and nice. Buffet breakfast was nice and fairly priced. Rooms were not what I expected for the cost of the rooms. The paint on the ceiling was peeling, the tub floor of the shower would pop every time you took your foot off of it, the toilet was very close to the wall but also not mounted straight. Otherwise the room was clean. Just not worth the price per night imo.
We love staying at the Provincetown Inn, primarily for the location which is incredible, and the historic property is really cool. No real complaints, the rooms could just use some updating. The breakfast is pricey too, esp. for what you get - $20 a person for pretty mediocre options.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Provincetown Inn. We stayed the week after Labor Day so the hotel's season was already over and the hotel was really empty. It took us probably 5-7 minutes to find the front desk man, but once found he was nice enough. W only spent one night but ate in the bar of the hotel. We had VERY GOOD clam chowder and fish and chips. Again, very good! The bartender was great and the conversation in the bar was lively! Sunrise and sunset on the cape was my favorite thing!!
Room very small. A lot of walking and stairs to room

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Fantastic location. No free bicycles (mentioned in reasons for resort charges) and pool closed in October. Hire of bikes/scooters available but not cheap. Rooms tired but spacious and with great views. Paid for reasonable buffet breakfast. Good service in bar/restaurant.
