The resort is clean and our room was nice. Service was not great, food was more for local cuisine, it was alright but not a lot we could find we would eat. Tried the Italian restaurant, chicken was so over cooked it was rubber. There is a lot of local restaurants that were really good. The kicker was check out. We had a Later flight but you had to return wrist bands at 11am. You were no longer welcome on the property at all. Just the main lobby. If you wanted to keep the bracelet longer, it was 1000 pesos. They were rude to us when we asked questions and just due to this I would not recommend this hotel again.

Restaurants were very good, buffet always had different options. We were across the bridge room was a lot to be desired!! Bathroom was disgusting, toilet tank wouldn’t seal , 3 or 4 days we never got towels. Called for towels and then it was a crap shoot if they would bring them!! Patio door could have been opened by a toddler from the outside when it was locked

Was great but they gave me the wrong wrist band for my entire stay I didn’t receive any VIP benefits… Over al the stay was great. Great location you can walk to anything, great beaches and pools. Great resort I would stay there again it was my second time there.

Canto keeps the bars open until midnight, causing a very loud and drunken atmosphere until the drinkers pass out. The beach area was hit by a hurricane many years ago, burying all the palupas in sand, and Canto has not raised thetops, necessitating one to crawl under them. The food used to be somewhat special, but is now simple and repetitive. Staff is wonderful.

We liked Canto Del Sol, thats why we came back. But we had found issues with certain people that do not know how to communicate properly as they do not speak English. We also found that the food was not as good as before. We also found that they do not have a tour representative on site anymore as we had to book a tour through the hotel manager and he spoke decent English. But over all a good place to stay.
