We arrived late evening and the front desk reception, Brenda, was so welcoming. The ambience was really nice with the midnight breeze through the open air lobby.
Initial impression was excellent.
The room was clean, spacious and the bed was comfortable although hard. It was quiet but far from "sound proof". We had a Premium King room.
Room service was a real let down, cold fries and club sandwich we didn't eat much of.
The ocean view and marine life made it a joy to just sit on the deck and relax. The balcony light on bright all evening until 10:30pm really took away from the enjoyment of using it in the evening.
Restaurant food was okay. Overall selection was good and the fruits were fresh. The rooftop lunch was an exception, the food was really good. The mahi mahi tostads where very refreshing.
Our servers were good at their job but only Orlando, the outside patio breakfast server made us feel appreciated by engaging with us a bit.
Overall we had a great relaxing week. This is not a 5 star resort. It is a solid 3 star. The attention to detail is lacking and the quality just isn’t 5 star. That being said, it is a nice all inclusive resort with a great beach. If you are traveling without children we recommend getting access to to the rooftop deck. It was nice and quiet with lots of sun and available shade.
Would we go back? Yes, if we were in the area again.
