It definitely had old Mexican charm. It was close to the beach, when you were inside the complex, you felt very peaceful. They had lovely entertainment on Saturday night. The staff was very accommodating. Showers excellent. I wish there was a very good but the pillows were lumpy and need to be replaced.

All of the staff was wonderful throughout our stay, the property is absolutely gorgeous throughout with tons of plants and flowers all over the place, it definitely has that Mexican charm that it boasts in the name, it’s in a very good location only about 15 minutes from the airport so I wouldn’t recommend spending the $100 to add a shuttle to your package since an Uber is only about $8, the food was great and they had entertainment every other night, lots of restaurants nearby & the Malecón is only about 15 minutes away which I would highly recommend checking out, tons of cool restaurants/bars and shopping, the concierge was extremely helpful with booking excursions and gave us way better rates than anyone we talked to outside of the resort, we talked to so many couples throughout our stay that told us they’ve been coming here for years and I understand why. I’m sure we will be coming back, what a spectacular resort!

Not very big, only one pool and not the best food, the beach is walkable but lots of people trying to sell things (not resort fault obviously) But great staff, close to the beach. They had amazing live music one night and a Mexican Dinner Party the first night we arrived which was fantastic! I definitely wish there was more to do on the resort but very nice overall:)

The pool and garden area was beautiful and staff were friendly and helpful. Buffet was authentic and tasty. Property was close to airport, marina and beach. The room however had only 1 electrical outlet, AC wasnt great and there was no mini fridge or coffee station. We had to bring our own water bottles to fill in hallways, which were sometimes empty.

The food was not the best we’ve had but it was not terrible either, the rooms are very small and have not seen any updates in a long time, the pool and bars were great and the beach is a short walk and was excellent, the area around is excellent and has lots of excellent restaurants and stuff to see, overall it was a great time and can’t wait to come back to Puerta Vallarta, probably choose a different resort next time!

Overall it was a very Mexican older style resort. Customers service was excellent. Cleaning very good. Food was very Mexican and standard Mexican with a variety of changes or additions daily. Breakfast was good, luch good and dinner good. Burgers in the Pub were delicious but on the larger side. The number of loungers and chairs around the pool are limited and people must get up at 6 am to claim them then leave them sit unused other than towels on top all day. I would prefer chairs to be given to others if they have not been used in two hours. In Saint Barts there is a fee for chair rental and there is no problem with people being greedy. I would likely return to this location again. Definitely not five star but a great atmosphere and safe environment for solo travellers.

Nothing thing about the property was even close to charming. Every aspect of the property was sub condition. From the entry to the grounds to the horrible rooms and bathrooms. Don’t believe the pictures on the website. The food was sub standard the grounds and outdoor furniture was worn and dirty and scattered everywhere and never organized neatly to make it inviting. Everything on the website is fraudulent. We left and went to another property. They have made no effort to reimburse us in any way! Don’t fall for it!

We went with the all-inclusive option at this resort, but they were not many food options. The buffet was the same every day and the à la carte option had (maybe) eight tables and offered the same menu every night. Unless she wanted to get up at the crack of dawn and throw a towel over a chair at the pool, you could never use a chair. It appears like the resort allowed gas to just throw towels over all the chairs first thing in the morning, so no one else had that option. It really sucked that we came all the way to Mexico and never even got in the pool. It would be great if staff would remove towels that were left for a long period of time without anyone on the chair. I would classify this as more of just a hotel and a place to sleep rather than a resort.

The restaurant and bar staff were ok, but the check in staff were rude. We booked 2 rooms on the same reservation but they would not give us 2 rooms beside each other or even close to each other. Never enough lounge chairs at the pool, ran out of pool towels often. No food and drinks between midnight and 7am. Food was average or below. Only 1 restaurant and 1 pool.
