My brother, mother, teenage son and I spent one week during the summer at this lovely alpine style home. I do not think the pictures capture the true essence of this beautiful new home. The view from the living/dining room through the large picture window and sliding glass doors is breathtaking of the mountain perfectly centered and surrounded by the lush forest off in the distance. Just feet from the house, you will find a small trail lined with tiny Christmas trees under the canopy of the larger trees. Every morning I would find my brother there enjoying his coffee. The first day a family of wild turkeys walked through the back yard.
The kitchen is larger than presented and was well stocked with all the pots, pans, plates, microwave etc. and a good size prep area.
The beds were very comfortable. My mom and I were down stairs in the king bed. My brother and son were upstairs where the queen bed and the day bed are found. The only thing that was a little tricky was navigating the spiral staircase. As for noise, it's very quite and great for getting a good nights sleep.
There was also a brand new gas grill that we really enjoyed along with the rocking chairs on the back deck that was our favorite place at night for star gazing.
The location was convenient. Maybe 10 mins to a Walmart. Close to many popular hiking trails. We really enjoyed Flume Gorge, the city of Conway, hiking to Glen Ellis falls, canoeing and so much more. If you have kids they will like the amusement parks near Conway.
Communication with the host was easy and we would definitely stay here again.
