The owner did not follow HomeAways intention of refund , 3 weeks erlier return due to covid 19 at our 8 week stay.
The owner feels greedy and stingy. On arrival 18 hours erlier than planned,we had to pay an overpriced for overnight stay. Directly at covid 19restrictions in Greece, we were "offered " 4 weeks before planned return trip to stay until June, because the owner needed money!
We got repeated reminders to save on electricity and Wifi.
We were not allowed to recieve family members for more than 1 week without paying extra.
The best with the house was the owners subcontractor Steve, who arranged everything without blame.
The grill that would be in the inventory list did not exist, but Steve arranged one.
The old faucet at the sink leaked when we arrived and caused later flooding at night, but Steve quickly arranged for a plummer.
Steve knew that the front door was leaking water during every rain, but had not recieved permission from the owner to fix this.
The shortcomings were many current equipment.
The knives was unusable.
Not even basic kitchen appliances were available.
Cutting boards were old and unhygienic.
Outdoor furniture cushions were broken and dirty.
Mold was developed against exterior walls in several rooms.
We are entrepreneurs in the hospitality industry in our home country, but would never treat costumers in this way.
Although the area and the house are nice, we cannot recommend the owner.
