Forest Cottage is a lovely, quirky little cottage, tastefully fitted out, in a perfect position on the edge of The New Forest.
Sheena communicated well with us and left us a delightful bonus of a vase of fresh flowers and a pack of delicious biscuits, along with tea bags, coffee and a pint of milk to get us started; so thoughtful. The surroundings were perfect : tranquility reigned! The garden would be wonderful in summer, I'm sure, but with the temperature and weather that we had on our three days, we didn't venture out into it! It looked good, though. :o) The log fire was a must, while we were there, and it was lovely to snuggle round in the evenings. Highly recommended for a blissfully peaceful break.
Tip for anyone venturing to the forest in the very near future : take your wellies! The mud was almost impassable in places.
