A lovely place to stay centrally located, large room with a perfect kitchenette to prepare meals with both gas and electrical cookers. Walking distance into the shopping centre and other attractions in town including Lake Rotorua.

Located just south of the shopping centre, in a quiet side street. Excellent budget choice. Loved the cats and the flowers around the property. We will certainly return there, next time we are in Rotorua.

The area was very sketchy and unsafe, definitely did not match the online photos. There was a man out front digging through the back of his car who stared at my sister and I, causing us to feel unsafe leaving the car unattended. I checked in and when she went to move the car he then blocked her path with his car and followed her until the motel lot, sitting in his car staring at her. We did not feel safe at all and immediately returned the keys and left to get away from that man. There also were cats all over the property and the pool was green, nothing about it seemed clean.

It was ok, but I wouldn't stay there again
I should have paid better attention to the photos. The condition of the room was more rundown than I expected. Furniture had that thrift store vibe. It wasn't dirty but there were dead bugs in the light fixtures, cobwebs in the bathroom lights, noticeable dust on fixtures, peeling wallpaper. It wasn't up to my standards and I checked out a night early.
