Vacation in architectural monument combines heritage conservation and tourism. Historically valuable buildings are taken over, gently renovated and rented out as holiday flats. The model offers a double benefit: the monuments are given a new future and the holiday guests experience a stay in an exceptional building. The idea is being realised by the foundation Vacation in architectural monument (FiB), which was founded in 2005 by the Swiss Heritage Society.
Car park: The car park is right next to the house and is not covered. Access to the house is guaranteed. In winter, when there is a lot of snowfall, the roads may not be easily passable. Winter tyres and snow chains are then an advantage.
Public transport: Take the train to Versam-Safien, then change to the Postbus to the ‘Thalkirch, Abzweigung Camana’ stop. From the post bus stop, follow the signs to ‘Camana’ and ‘Museum’, approx. 15-20 minutes on foot to the Nüw Hus. The house is the second house above the road right at the entrance to the Innercamana settlement.
Number of persons 10: A baby cot (up to 2 years) is available. The house has room for ten guests (plus baby). There are three double rooms, one triple room and one single room. The house is situated on a slight slope. The entrance is on the mezzanine floor. There is a kitchen combindes with a living room and the parlour with adjoining single room. On the 2nd floor are the three double rooms and the triple room. The floors are made of wood and stone, which is why we recommend good slippers.
Garden: There is plenty of space next to the house where you will find a dining table and benches.
WLAN: WLAN is available.
Open: The house can be rented all year round.
Pets: Pets are allowed on request.
Altitude: 1880 metres above sea level.

The Nüw Hus is a listed building that has been renovated with great respect for the existing fabric. The tenant is aware of this and treats the property with care. Although the technical equipment is up-to-date, certain functional details do not meet current standards and are a potential source of danger. The tenant is aware of these circumstances.
