Wonderful, relaxing vacation rental!

We loved everything about Dune Haus! The location is perfect and the view from the upstairs deck is amazing (day & night). The house is very well equipped with everything you need for a relaxing beach vacation. We were planning on eating out more however after visiting Alex's shrimp shack (a recommendation from the owners) we enjoyed cooking & relaxing in the house. This was our first visit to the Outer Banks and it won't be our last. The house was perfect so thank you Britt & Alex for renting out your wonderful home!

Absolutely beautiful home in OBX!!

Our time at the Dune Haus was so very sweet and relaxing with our family! This home is absolutely gorgeous all around. Beautiful decor. The most comfortable beds. All the amenities. Stocked kitchen-which was so helpful for our large group! Communication with the hosts was top notch. Would highly recommend this home!

The property was nice. More linens needed for a party of ten. Very few bath wash cloths and towels. Won’t plan on going again in May. The weather was awful, cold and windy. Kids couldn’t play in the water the rip currents were so bad all week.

Breathtaking Oceanfront Views

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Oceanfront Cottage in Salvo with my family, and I must say it was an amazing experience. The location is a true slice of heaven, with the stunning ocean views and serene surroundings creating the perfect backdrop for a relaxing vacation. The cottage itself was clean and comfortable, with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The beds were cozy, the kitchen was well-equipped, and the living area was spacious and inviting. One of the highlights of our stay was spending time on the deck, soaking up the breathtaking views of the ocean. We also enjoyed strolling along the nearby beach and exploring the charming town of Salvo. Overall, I would highly recommend the Oceanfront Cottage in Salvo to anyone looking for a peaceful and rejuvenating getaway. It truly exceeded our expectations in every way, and we can't wait to return again soon!

Comfortable family getaway!

We had a great time here even though the weather was not ideal. We wear a small group of 4 week th 3 generations and everyone loved the house. Thoughtful design was evident everywhere - beds and couches were very comfortable (all of slept wonderfully) and we enjoyed the different spots — an enclosed porch with games, small “widows walk”, and loft in main room were fun touches. Kitchen was better appointed than most places and we appreciated the natural setting of the house and the walk through the dunes to the beach. Would happily stay again.

Great family vacation house!

House was exactly as listed and perfect for our family of 4 adults & 2 kids. The beds & pillows were very comfortable as well as all the living room furniture. Communication from owner was timely and thorough. The house was well cleaned although several of the pots and pans were not fully clean before our first time use. The beach cart, beach chairs and toys were awesome for a beach day! Plus, the views and access to the beach was great. We appreciated the quietness of the community and less touristy feel. We really enjoyed our time at Dune Haus!

Beautiful stay at OBX

Our family was very comfortable here and enjoyed the close access to the beach, the beautiful views, the spacious rooms, and all the porches. The hosts were responsive and kind. Next time, we'll plan on cooking more at the house because the kitchen was well set up. The area is very quiet, especially in the off-season, and is mostly residential.

Beautiful house

The house is beautifully decorated and the floor plan is so great. There is ample space in the main living area and driveway. Bedrooms are very nice and comfortable beds. Some things that may deter us in the future: the deck railing is extremely low (does not reach my hip) and if my children were any younger it would have made me very nervous. We also brought 2 active elderly family members, but the walk to the beach can be quite strenuous over the dune and back to the house. There is a good path, but it is quite steep to climb. Otherwise, we had a great weekend and loved the house!

Loved the house and location!

The house was beautiful and just as described. Loved, loved listening to the ocean from any of the decks on this ocean front property. There were so many lounging options inside and out. Since we flew from MN, I was so happy there was a good sized cooler, beach cart, several beach chairs, boogie boards and other little beach toys
..stuff for all ages. The sheets and pillows were spectacular in my opinion
so much that I found the name on the tag so I can order some for my bed at home! The communication was superb, accessing the property was easy, and I just can’t think of a negative. Thanks so much for sharing your gorgeous home!

Amazing property!

Great communication and wonderful house! Beautifully decorated and fantastic location. We absolutely loved the look out tower that provided amazing sunset views. The set up was perfect for our family. There are a ton of little nooks for people to hang out in. Great game room/sun porch. Would definitely reccomend.
