Will be returning in the near future. Area was quiet and beautiful. View of the marina and city skyline. The executive suite was very comfortable and spacious. I really loved the hotel and San Diego as a whole.

Didn't find out that most of the hotel was under construction till after we booked the stay nd it was NON REFUNDABLE. Lobby was closed, cafe was closed, stairways were closed everything was under construction and they still charged for parking. Place is a dump. I would NOT recommend this hotel at all. Price was even high for such a dump

Shelter Island’s Best

My second stay here, and even with the renovations going on ( which I knew of previously) it was a fabulous stay! Super friendly service across everyone encountered. King Studio room was beautiful views of the marina and so spacious! Loved having the living room addition. Very clean and super comfy bed! Hot tub was great, did not use pool. I did miss the restaurant/bar on this stay but found places close by so not big deal. I’ll look forward to my next visit to SD and seeing their renovations complete and enjoying the new facilities to eat at. After two different stays here, this is definitely my go to for all future trips to the bay!

Clean, comfortable and quiet stay

We arrived late and checked in easily.. the room was clean, lovely and comfortable. We had a view on the Marina side and it was very quiet. We had a swim in the pool and used the jacuzzi… they were doing renovations but that didn’t impact our stay. Nice location with great restaurants and walks. Would definitely stay here again.

What I was disappointed in is that nobody told me when I booked this place that the lobby and restaurant would be closed for remodeling and new construction. Lobby was in a former motel room; no restaurant; no view of the marina; construction crews were there at 7AM. In short, the location was good but the facility had a LOT TO BE DESIRED because of remodeling.
