The road was a bit bumpy to get to but that's irrelevant once you get to the property.
Before we even checked in, the owner sent a message on how to get there and we ended up talking about a couple things. Pulling up to the house, you're surrounded by trees and openness at the same time. Hundreds, if not thousands of butterflies are all around the bushes and lime trees. My wife made friends with a couple iguanas, too. Their names are Gary and Cory.
The kitchen was perfect for cooking and the owner put us in contact with a local chef (her name is Amini) who came out and taught our son to cook an authentic Belizean meal. We all ate and talked for a couple hours and it was one of the best parts of our trip.
The couch pulled out to a king size bed that was extremely comfortable. Not one of those cheap pull out sofas.
The mornings, we had coffee and listened to (faint) howler calls and my son loved the pool! We spent a lot of time on the deck, watching birds and just enjoying the sounds.
