I booked and paid for a room 2 months in advance. Their listing says rooms are not guaranteed unless paid in advance. I received a message about 18 hours before check in time that they were overbooked and were moving me to a different location. I said this was unacceptable as the new location was far from where I needed to be and was not in a good neighbourhood. They said they were sorry about this and that they were having problems with Expedia and the overbooking was Expedia’s fault not theirs. told them I would be cancelling my reservation and that there would be no problems as long as there was a refund. Then total since. Expedia is also getting total silence from them.
