The resort was great, everything was beautiful. It is super expensive and expenses can get out of hand real quick. Don’t recommend putting things on your room. Just use your credit card as their accounting in card hold valuations can cause problems. Also, the pool water is very cold.

This is a beautiful property. It is quite sprawling and requires a lot of walking or riding on the electric carts—not a problem for us. The restaurants get quite busy and may require a reservation well in advance. Also it is really popular with families with small children so be forewarned if you are not ready to be around a LOT of kids. The staff were uniformly helpful and courteous (in fact this seemed to be true everywhere in Puerto Rico). The only disappointment for us was the beach area which was very small and not ideal for swimming so we spent our beach days on Luquillo which was only a few minutes away and much more ideal for long beach days.

It was OK

The location and our room were wonderful. But the food service leaves a lot to be desired. I don’t like buffet breakfast and the only alternative was room service. The food served at lunch on the beach and around the pool was OK. But the dinner options were limited and even having a reservation did not help with getting seated in a timely manner. One hostess for two restaurants meant we spent over 20 minutes waiting to be seated for a 6:00 PM reservation. The appetizers at Nori were good but the entrees lacking. We only had appetizers at Prime steak and they were good. The food at Nectar was too heavily salted and no atmosphere in the restaurant. The servers and housekeeping staff were very friendly and helpful.

The hospitality was incredible- staff and service unmatched. The rooms and pools were clean, great amenities. We didn’t find great food onsite, and there are not many options close to the hotel especially if you do not have a car. The best food was in the cafes - especially the coconut chia pudding. Also, the water at the beach was beautiful but the sand was very rocky as it is a man made beach - you’ll have to take a quick trip to Luquillo beach for soft sandy beaches.

Private and isolated, nice pools and beach's that are not too crowded like many resorts. Nice walking paths along water and golf course. Staff were all great.
