I arrived after a day of travel with my family and unfortunately the directions were great if you entered from one gate and completely inadequate if you entered from the other.
Once we found the unit, it was just passable. Uncomfortable beds, a cockroach on the bedroom floor, toilet appeared unclean and not even paper towels in the kitchen.
The main problem was the next morning when we tried to go out to get provisions at 8 AM. We could not get the gate open. We tried the code numerous times without success. After a lengthy delay, we held the gate open long enough to squeeze past when someone came in. We did a shopping contacted the owner finally who told us he had his phone on silent not terribly helpful, since we were on a tight time schedule to get out by 11 o’clock our mandatory check out time.
I don’t mean to be a difficult renter, but I have a property with VRBO and have had it for over 20 years. I know what it takes to have renters be able to access your property, to have it nice, to have it clean, to respond to renters needs and this one needs some help.
