While the property was very nice, the service was abysmal! The greatest problem was with the Gem Restaurant. On our final night, we decided to go to the restaurant, as they had gotten lobsters that day. We arrived at 5:00 pm and were never served our food until after 7:15. The lobsters offered were quite small and the waitstaff quoted a price of $50.00 US per lobster. Needless to say, we did not have those. When we arrived, we were the only diners in the restaurant. Still, it took us over half an hour to have our drink order filled. We had to repeatedly ask the waiter (Sergio) to take our dinner order. After that, a total of eight people came into the restaurant and ordered after us. All of their food came before ours. When the food finally came, my dinner was cold, and my husband found a wingless fly crawling around in his dinner. He sent it back to the kitchen, untouched and the waiter was singularly uncaring. At the end of the meal, we were charged for that dinner. Also, our drink glasses were never cleared and we had to take them up to the bar ourselves. After asking repeatedly for the check, we had to wait an additional 10 minutes for Sergio to bring the check, after he took another newcomer's order for drinks. After getting the check and letting the bartender (Luce) know of our dissatisfaction with everything, she said it was not her fault. I am frankly amazed that the owners of this establishment continue to be in business with such terrible staffing.
