This is an old hotel with beautiful grounds across from the harbor. The fire pits and seating were beautiful. Although the rooms were spartan, they were clean.

Air conditioner stuck on 80degree high heat mode and the “engineer” brought a fan from the 70’s and said “here’s a fan, air conditioner broken, check back tomorrow” and walked out.. lol, it was a sauna in the room. He didn’t even look at it to try to fix it. He was super rude. Thankfully the front desk gave us a new room which was nice. Also, the valet gets very backed up when they are busy so you could be waiting 30 min to get your car. $340 a night is purely for the location.

Not a relaxing stay- like a motel
This is a touched up motel. The bathrooms are tiny and outdated. Our heater didn’t work the first night and we froze all night. The walls are thin and our neighbors kept us up with music until midnight. Do NOT stay here if you are traveling with family and want a relaxing stay.

Get away.
Great, stay.Been staying there for the last four years.Winter and summer access to the beach and great restaurants.. It's just a nice place to stay when you're in santa barbara . Be coming back in august.

Great place for familes
Great stay. Perfect room for a family with the main room with queen bed and a semi separate room with bunk for the kids. Wish it wasn’t valet parking. Valet parking attendees were wonderful, it just seemed unnecessary.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property a lot! The staff was excellent from the front desk to the valet parking to the cleaning crew. The only reason I just can’t give this place five stars is that the bed is kind of mediocre and the pillows were quite lumpy and uncomfortable. The bathroom was a little weird with the toilet being super close to one wall. But overall the place was impeccably clean, the staff was fantastic and the walkability of the area was fantastic. I would definitely stay here again. I might just bring my own pillow.

What could have been.
We didn't end up staying at the hotel. Upon check-in we discovered the air conditioning in the room was not working. Maintenance was quick to arrive with a fan, but did not even attempt to fix the problem. After a visit back to the front desk, they were also quick to get us into another room. However, it was not a like kind replacement. With another visit back to the front desk and a request for a refund, they were also quick to oblige with a full refund, and we were on our way to another hotel. They were apologetic and sympathized with the situation and gave us no problems when asking for a full refund. So I will say, the customer service is outstanding, and the location is great, but I can't say much about actually staying there.
