I don't always write reviews but I wanted to for this home, as we had such a wonderful stay and wanted to share an honest, positive review. We were here for 6 nights for a family wedding in Glen Ellen. There were 5 adults and my 3 year old son. What a perfect place for relaxing and having all necessary items in the home.
Highlights:
1) Perfect size for multiple families. Large living room space right off the kitchen where we spent most nights relaxing. An added surprise bonus - amazing massage chair that my cousin spent hours in! ;)
2) FULLY equipped kitchen with anything you could need for cooking, coffee, children's plates, silverware, etc., basic cooking items - oils, spices, etc. plus paper plates, indoor/outdoor dinnerware sets, wine glasses, etc. etc. I can't imagine there wasn't a cooking tool or utensil not supplied.
3) Bathrooms were equipped with toiletries - such a nice surprise! (we overpacked - didn't need half of the things I brought)
4) Very quiet neighborhood. Really enjoyed sitting outside on the patio. The homes are close together but you would never know as it was always quiet. I took several runs throughout the neighborhood and surrounding area and it felt very safe and well kept.
5) Location - very close to many wineries. It was only 10 minute drive to multiple recommended places to visit - hiking trails, downtown Santa Rosa and a nice little outdoor shopping "mall" with some large chain stores but also several very cute restaurants and smaller boutique shops.
6) For kids - it is clear the owners have several children of their own. The house had great kids rooms with bunk beds and SO many books and toys (legos, etc.) that my son really enjoyed. The backyard has a great swingset/play area which we used every day. There was a park/playground less than a mile from the house where we brought our son as well.
7) Communication with management company - they checked in on us the night we arrived and were very responsive, although we really didn't need much as the house was equipped and we had no issues.
8) Day trips -we went to Bodega Bay which was about an hour away. Also Armstrong Redwoods, which were about 30 minutes. Very easy to get to. There were many others we could have visited within an hour if we had more time!
I would definitely recommend this home for those looking to explore wine country and have a nice, quiet, large space to come home to.
