This Richmond Beach stay was excellent. The charm, special touches, sauna and location were perfect. I would love to stay here again. The beach is nearby and great to walk and explore!
We found the cottage a comfortable stay when visiting family in the Seattle. The location has a couple of views of Puget Sound and is just a short distance from Richmond Beach Saltwater Park. Our host, Jason, responded promptly to our questions. There is an excellent local casual dining restaurant, Blackbird, nearby and the cottage is not too far from the charming village of Edmonds which also offers excellent restaurants. We're happy to recommend the cottage.
Lovely quaint. Had everything i needed for few days. Sauna looked lovely but it was jot so i didnt get a chance to check it out. Wifi was hood and they had a fan and on hot day that really helped circulate the ac. Met the owner and he made a lovely sushi suggestion. Thank you!
We loved our stay at Jason's cabin. He was very attentive, friendly, and provided everything we needed in the cabin. The cabin itself felt very private and cozy. There was a heater and A/C unit provided in case it felt stuffy. The location was near the water and the view was so pretty. On the clear sunny days you can see Mt Olympus from across the water.
This cottage oozes charm and history. Every detail has been meticulously considered and the decorating is perfect, from historic photos of Richmond Beach families to original wood floors and cozy furniture. The bed is comfortable, the views are gorgeous (including the view overlooking the hostsâ lovely garden) and the location is wonderful. Itâs a pleasant walk to the large waterfront park, restaurants and the towering trees of the library park. Oh yeah: the sauna is special.(One tip: there is no designated parking area, so park on the street right next to the private side gate that leads to the cottage.)
I would definitely stay in this charming cottage again. The neighborhood is residential and quiet. The view of the water adds to the peacefulness experienced in the cottage. It may have been a little difficult to find in the dark, but fortunately we easily found it in the day light.
This cottage is a perfect getaway for a person or couple. It is aesthetically charming and had everything I needed. Great spot to recharge and work on crafts. Walking distance to a beach park as well as bars and restaurants.
Overall, everything was very nice. One thing that would make it better would be to cut the bamboo on the little sitting area in the back to allow a view of the Sound.
There is a ladder leaning on the back of the cottage wall and a chair on the roof. Remove tbese. this. )
Had a great time at the cottage for a long weekend painting retreat in Edmonds. Walkable to parks and restaurants if youâre ok with some hills. Wonderful tiny kitchen with everything you need. Would come back!
Hard to find and for some reason we thought that the property was on the beach and I think the left hand side of the house sank another inch while we were there!
We booked a 3 week stay. Due to duration we needed a few extra essentials. They were immediately provided. Otherwise well equipped little cottage. Bed was comfortable. Views/sunsets spectacular. Excellent area with an abundance of things to do.
