The pros: The setting is quaint and beautiful, right on the water on the historic boardwalk. The house was cozy, the kitchen has everything you might need, the beds were super comfortable and the host let us check in a little early and tried to be responsive to the issues that came to light.
The cons: The kitchen stove didn’t light, the Wi-Fi password didn’t work (and only Verizon works there), there was no hot water, the microwave plate was pretty gross, the coffee maker had a reusable filter filled with very moldy grounds and there was only one roll of toilet paper. The stove was fixed almost immediately. It was the second afternoon before we finally got the correct password info. We had no hot water until the evening before we left but there was an another (quite nice) place to shower down the boardwalk and up some stairs. We scrubbed the microwave plate, didn't use the coffee maker, and we took a roll of TP from the alternate bathroom. I think a few of these problems were because we were the first guests of the season and I think the kinks have been ironed out now, but all of them could have been prevented with a pre-check. None of it ruined the good time we had there (and it was a really comfortable place) but for the price we expected fewer issues.
