This quaint cottage on the water was everything my family never knew we needed! No, it’s not a brand new home or luxury mansion. It’s actually way better because it has charm and character. It’s bigger than it looks, comfy/cozy, sooo quiet, and has everything you could need. We ate out on the porch area, soaking in the views; we each utilized the office in different ways (my son wrote a letter to his grandmother, my husband wrote (he wrote on the porch as well) and I looked at shark teeth we had collected; I sat out on the steps just listening to the birds and watching them; the sunsets truly are incredible and they’re always different (there are lots of places at the home to enjoy them from); … Check in/out was a total breeze and communication, if necessary, was delightful. Ooh, and the location couldn’t have been more perfect. We visited what seemed like ever corner of the state (including DC and Mount Vernon in Virginia), and we were never in the car for long (the longest drive was to Assateague and it was worth it). My only wishes…A) That the weather would’ve been better so that we could have utilized the kayaks B) That I would’ve booked our stay during crabbing season because that would’ve been an awesome experience C) That we would’ve ate out more as so many places sounded amazing D) That we could’ve stayed longer
