This house is about 100 feet away from the ocean…one can see the water and hear the waves quite nicely. Since Shelter Cove has not been fully built up, there is plenty of empty space around this house and it feels wonderful. The place is quite clean and the furnishings are well appointed. It has 1) a great washer and dryer, 2) real hot water (versus those places that only offer very warm water!), 3) sleep number beds, 4) gas cooking (versus those terrible electric ranges), satellite TV with hundreds of stations, a good heater that responds well to the thermostat. There are several places to eat around here…a couple of bars and grills, a pizza place, and a Venezuelan restaurant (quite popular but only open a few days a week). There is a small grocery store with limited items. (Best bet is to bring supplies in). The only caveat I have to mention is to warn light sleepers…the master bedroom is a loft…which means one hears EVERY sound in the house. I could hear the coffee percolating, refrigerator doors opening and, of course, the TV downstairs. Our family had to instigate rules if someone was trying to sleep…”please talk in muffled tones, keep the TV sound down real low, and walk quietly throughout the house”. That plan worked fine…and of course, if you are a heavy sleeper, there is no problem.
