Our stay was delightful and very relaxing. The accommodation was very comfortable. We encountered a small inconvenience the first night around 11:00 and I texted my hostess and she and her husband made sure that the problem was corrected immediately. I greatly appreciated their thoughtfulness. It was unfortunate that the weather was cool and wet because the location is outstanding for enjoying nature and the out of doors.

Beautiful property with amazing views. The hosts were very helpful and accommodating. I had asked if there was an outdoor fire pit - they provided enough kindling and wood to have a fire on one of the evenings. I couldn't get the TV to work (probably operator error) so the host very kindly popped right over and got it working. While she was there, she asked if there was anything I had forgotten that they could provide. There wasn't, but I appreciated the offer. I brought my dog with me and we had fun exploring the property and the nearby parks along Lake Superior before I headed out cross country skiing. The place was immaculate and very well stocked with all the essentials. All in all, a really nice, relaxing winter get away. I would definitely go back in any season!

Gret Stay
We made a stop for a few nights at the guest house. As soon as we walked in, it was evident that this was a going to be a great stay on our Lake Superior Circle tour. Everything was exactly as described, clean and very well equipped. Alexandra and her family were both friendly and helpful. Loved the views both day and night from the balcony. Our dog Nahla loved their two dogs.

Amazing and Romantic
My husband and I visited for a special anniversary and the guest house was exactly what we wanted. We felt like we were the only ones in the world. Everything was beautiful and clean and very charming. The sunset over the water was breathtaking and Alexandra was very helpful and attentive! Thank you for a stay we will never forget! What a beautiful spot. The pictures they post don't do it justice. I arrived late so I couldn't see the lake because it was dark. It was easy to Text Alexandra to let her know I would arrive late. I slept in the bed right by the balcony which was comfortable, but I awoke to a staggering view of the sun rising over lake Superior. I wish I could have stayed longer or had been able to enjoy this place with my Family. Great kitchen setup, lots of space, games, family and pet friendly, and the view from the balcony is really special. If this is available, I'm really not sure why anyone could book a regular hotel or stay anywhere else near Thunder Bay over staying here. Definitely will stay again.

Completing the Lake Superior Circle Tour
We had a wonderful stay here as we completed the last leg of our Lake Superior Circle tour. The property has amazing views and was super clean. We hiked and drove around the Sleeping Giant Provincial Park which is very close and our hostess had great recommendations for food in the area.

Beautiful road trip destination
The guesthouse is an A frame attached to one side of the main house. But it was so quiet, it was like being secluded. The view is beautiful. Access to the lake was right from the backyard with a protected swim area and lots of sand. Amenities included kayaks, life jackets, chairs, and a fire pit. I wish the weather had been nicer so we could swim. Next time! Inside the house is very clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Fully equipped kitchen, WI-FI, comfortable furniture, good water pressure, air/heat if needed, gas grill. Toys and games for kids. Dogs welcome. Gas station/convenience store and small restaurant really nearby. But bring a cooler of food and condiments or stock up on the way or in Thunder Bay. You’ll save some $$.

A Great Get Away

Breathtaking and relaxing
Alexandra really has an amazing property and is the nicest host. She was so kind and genuine; she and her husband really made sure we had everything and were comfortable. She even left some snacks out for us, which we appreciated after such a long drive from Minneapolis. The guest house is private, clean and has everything you could want. We enjoyed the breathtaking views and the relaxing, cozy atmosphere. The kitchen is huge and has everything you might need. We used the kayaks and they were clean and in excellent like-new condition. The guest house is close to Sleeping Giant as well as Thunder Bay. We enjoyed the Missing Horse restaurant just up the road as well. We definitely will be returning to this gem.

We came up for a ski race at Sleeping Giant. Alexandra was SUPER helpful with directions and more...also very accommodating which we appreciated! Great communication. The A Frame is really neat...! The kitchen is amazing, the view is awesome, it is the absolute quietest place we have ever stayed at and has more outlets than anyplace too! I highly recommend staying here!

Scenic Tranquility
We were looking for a place to slow down, unplug and breath in superior vibes. this place on Crystal Beach fit the bill. Alexandra was a great host with clear communication and a lot of thoughtful touches that added to the experience. As an example a well equipped kitchen, a basket of snacks, a variety of games and DVDs all added warmth and charm. A few walks were available on the Lake ice or the abandoned Railway track. Lastly the view was incredible from the huge balcony windows. the variety of color changes of the sky and Giant throughout the days left us speechless at times. Our hearts are full.

The sunrises and sunsets over Lake Superior and Sleeping Giants Provincial Park were stunning. Sitting on the deck on a clear night the sky was vibrant with millions of stars. Great location to tour Thunder Bay or use as a launching point for mountain biking, kayaking, and hiking.
