They were nice to cater to our request for nice view. But we did not get connecting rooms in the end... sad abt that. And the room has a smelly wet carpet smell..... bt for 1 night we ok. Still love the hotel in overall.

TL;DR: A little dated given the age of the building, otherwise good. Fantastic gym and very well equiped; perhaps the best I’ve seen in a hotel. Think gym, but smaller (obviously) and there’s only one of each machine with body parts combined on one equipment to maximise space. Cardio wise, treadmills, Stages indoor trainer, indoor bike, rower, stepper, assault runner… you get the picture; is very nice! Located on a main road, so there’s an emergency siren here or there, otherwise it’s as quiet as it gets. King size bed; meh comfy. A/C is well needed, but performs OK. Old units, so a bit noisy relatively speaking. This was my 4th night in Singapore with the 1st 3 nights spent at the sister hotel in Tanjong Pagar. And while I had no issues sleeping the first three nights, the 4th nights sleep was just not happening. Overall it’s a decent hotel, and as a non-expert in hotel classes, would say the 4.5 stars? is about right. Wouldn’t not go back, but also would be looking at options before I commuted, especially considering the sister hotel being a hop and a skip down the road for a little extra change in your pocket. NB: Proximity to Marina Bay Sands and the river are a bonus. Can loop the Marina and run along the river and back in circa 10k. Take your phone with you for all the photos you’re going to want to take.

Well-located and with views acrosss to Marina Bay Sands and the Raffles, we enjoyed our brief stay at the Carlton. Room upgrade and baby cot set-up upon arrival much appreciated. Location is walkable to Boat Quay. Gym, pool and sauna all in excellent condition. Good value

Excellent location walking distance to many things. Large lobby lots of polite, kind helpful people working at this hotel. Our room was spacious enough with good toiletries. Bathroom a little strange in that it was made of glass and you could see through with the doorway. Nice blackout curtains television Safe kettle to make coffee or tea. Storage paste not great but I guess sufficient. Hairdryer OK good shower. Bed is comfy on the little side and the linens are great.

Beautiful hotel with gorgeous rooms. Amazing views and almost perfect. The thing that lets it down is no bedside lamp. With jet lag you don’t want bright lights disturbing others in the middle of the night! So inconvenient and such a shame as would have made our stay perfect
