Overall very nice hotel located at a convenient area. Checkin easy but room assigned smelled a little smoky so we asked to be reassigned. Front desk did that immediately within 15 mins. Thereafter we had a pleasant stay. One thing I would recommend was that the concierge could have been a little friendlier. The way he spoke was abrupt and like we already familiar with Singapore. I wouldn’t asked him for directions and or recommendations if we had the answers.

Customer service: great Breakfast buffet: lots of carbs; lacking a bit, but we came from Grand Hyatt KL. No comparison. Price seems high for the foods available Lobby excellent AC is hard to run; temps either too cold or too hot. Hard to change the numbers without using a pen, as fingers were too weak for it. Auto doesn’t switch off unit when temp is achieved Room service: Excellent. Fast delivery. Food good Location: excellent. Close to Raffles Shopping center & MTR

The Carlton is a lovely Hotel in a central location. We enjoyed our stay there. Our room was spacious and well appointed; there was a selection of toiletries provided, but our only disappointment was that there were no bars of soap - so there was nothing available should we wish to take a bath - the basin and shower had pump-action containers beside their units, but nothing within reach of the bath!

Pool area terrible

Hotel was perfect in every way. Pool area unattended and very ordinary compared to rest of property. Lounges totally cheap and uncomfortable.
