Master bedroom duvet cover was very dirty and quite obviously not switched out between renters. This host allows dogs, for which we were grateful, and this bed definitely had a dog sleeping in it and was not washed. The master bed had a mattress topper that had slid so far off the bed it was touching the floor. When brought to hosts attention, things do happen and he is not around to check, he sent his “head cleaning person” out the next day to evaluate. I pointed out the dirtiness and not only did she agree, but also explained this particular owner uses his own linens so the shape they were in was out of her control. After which, the host said there was no way they were left dirty. The bathroom floors had not been washed and every bath mat was stained. There were 8 bath towels left for 8 guests, each not much bigger than hand towels. The kitchen cabinets were a mess with mismatched cooking supplies.
The WiFi was not working, the only place on the entire mountain that was down.
We are believers you get what you pay for. Had we not booked a VRBO on the cost higher end, we would not have had the same level of disappointment, although clean linens should be expected at any price point.
We left after 2 nights of our 5 night stay after it became clear Austin was not going to be of any help.
