This was a small space in a large blue house with 6 individually accessed units, perfect for couples, in a quaint, secluded neighborhood within easy walking distance of the Historic Center. This was great since free parking in the center is very sparse. We wound our way along the narrow streets of a sweet neighborhood to arrive at Fort San Marcos without having to walk on busy avenues. The neighborhood itself has its delights; a full moon block party was organized by a nearby store called The Widow Abbott. St Augustine Beach is also a 10 to 15-minute drive.
The room was clean and pretty, recently remodeled. The shower was hot.
Check-in was a breeze. Everything was as advertised, fairly priced, and Suyen was available via text and phone to provide any additional information we needed. We met her outside once during our stay as she was tidying up the common area outside. She was super pleasant.
The negatives: We opened the blinds behind the TV in the mornings to allow plenty of light, but the next-door neighbors could ostensibly look in (they didn't). The January weather had been cool and damp just previous to our stay; perhaps that is why a couple of mosquitoes hovered in our room. The bed is comfortable, a bit soft-ish, and very squeaky if you get frisky.
This is a great value and great for anyone who likes to walk around and explore!
