The property is right on the water. Beautiful location. I was very disappointed that in the bar area and restaurant everything was single use plastic.

Great stay at Breakers
This was our first time to the area and we will definitely be back to stay at Breakers. From check-in to check-out, every staff member was extremely pleasant and helpful. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. It was nice to sit on the balcony in the morning and evening after a long day sightseeing. We did have breakfast and dinner once during our stay and also tried a pizza - all were good.

Clean room, great view of lake and beach, good free breakfast. Didn't like arriving at 2:30 and no room by 4:00. Finally switched us to another room, because ours was not ready. Very small room, no closet to hang clothes. Very small vanity squeezed next to entrance door. About a twelve inch rack above refrigerator to hang clothes and it was very high, could barley reach the hangers. Outside entrance door had no lock to keep non-guests out of the building. Lots of little bugs, like mosquitos, and other little bugs on walls and blankets on beds.

Hotel property was fine. The area is just not very nice. Did not find good restaurants in the area. Won't stay on this town again. The hotel is structured weird- no matter what you have to go up or down steps, which is not a problem unless you are carry heavy luggage. Odd layout.

It was an excellent pick for weekend stay, great shuttle to the ferry no parking for day on Mackinac Island. Nice beach bar and fire pit, good breakfast right on property. 24 hour pool and hot tub. Will definitely stay again!

We had a fabulous stay at Breakers. We were given a lovely room with a balcony overlooking the beach. All staff were brilliant and could not have been more helpful. The pool was great and so was the jacuzzi. All areas were clean and tidy and water, coffee and hot water for English tea were always available. Dining was an excellent experience with all the food delicious and fairly priced - with draft beers too. Outside we particularly liked the bar area and the fire which was so welcoming on a chilly evening so we could stay out and see the lake in the darkness. Full marks to the breakfast and evening staff for their friendly attention and efficient service. We couldn’t have asked for more, many thanks.

Location: The room was nice with balcony overlooking the beach and lake. Nice beach fires each night. Clean. Friendly reception (River). Bar on beach nice. Room service would be nice, hallways and dining room were cold (blowing 65 degrees). Balcony had lots of cobwebs.
